Kazue Fujiki, a native of Akita Japan and current resident of Nanaimo British Columbia welcomes you to her blog site.

Kazue first came to Canada in 1986 as an international student wishing to discover Canada and pursue her passion, tennis. Kazue was a captain in the tennis club at high school and competed in a high level tourament in her youth.  Kazue won her Nanaimo tournament in her singles and doubles while she was a student at MUC and completed Tennis coaching seminors to be able to teach professionally to local children.  Kazue has a bachelors degree in Education from the University of Victoria, completed studies in Physical Education Deploma at Malaspina University College in Nanaimo as well as professional photographer diploma from the Western Academy of Photography in Victoria.  Kazue lives with her Canadian husband and two little sons who are age 5 and 3.  Kazue lives with her family in Nanaimo, beautiful harbour city of Vancouver Island and focuses on living healthy life in an aboundant natural environment.  Kazue’s future goal is not only providing a natural & playful environment for her children and others, but also to document people’s lives of Nanaimo and Vancouver Island.

Nanaimo, a beautiful harbour city is about 80,000 population and located in the central part of Vancouver Island.  Vancouver Island is chosen for the third year from the international traveler’s magazaine, Conde Nest, the best Island to visit in the world.

The aboundant of natural beauty, the healthy foods, hospitality of people on the Vancouver Island is welcoming everybody.  Vancouver Island is good to visit all year around. The Spring is the greenary season when eveything is blooming to start the new life in the wildlife.  The cherry blossoms bloom and ready for people to get ready for making the wonderful gardens.  The summer time is enjoyable to spend the long days outside till the sunset on the kayak at the beach, and visit many hiking trails to smell the flowers and birds singing.  The Autum is also to enjoy the pleasant season of the year. The leaves are changing colors and it is a nice time to start going back to school or to start something new to make interesting addition to your life.  All the trees are full of fruits and it is great to pick all the wild black berries to make a special homemade jam or pie for a special someone.  The Winter is of course for skiing or winter sports, but you could enjoy having a warm hotchocolate with a little sip of alchohole to make a special dring with your favorite books in your hand.

Whatever the season you choose, the Vancouver Island offers the interesting activities to those who love nature, sports, outdoor activities and also for people to experience meeting with friendly locals.  You will feel coming back home everytime visiting Vancouver Island.
